Trent Praytor

Owner and Head Instructor

Trent began his grappling journey as a child in wrestling and competed through high school in North Carolina. After earning his masters in nursing and health systems administration from UNC Chapel Hill  Trent and family moved to Anderson for career advancement. In 2012 Carolina Combatives was born in a garage. In the years following CC has grown and moved into a much larger space and Trent is blessed to see such growth in the academy. In November of 2018 Trent was awarded his black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu by his long-time friends and mentors Bryan and Michael Baldwin of Cross Training Academy in Hendersonville, NC. Trent enjoys having the ability to train with and coach with Susan and their two children Carter and Caroline.  Trent’s goal is to be a positive role model and coach for his students and to help bring a self defense mindset to the Anderson area.  “Having the ability to share jiu jitsu with my family and to coach with Susan is the joy of my day!”
