Krav Maga is the ultimate form of street-ready self protection and fitness. An eclectic system of striking, clinch, ground, situational awareness and fitness that prepares students for real world scenarios.

Workouts at Carolina Combatives Krav Maga are rooted in principles of high intensity and interval training, pressure testing , fitness and “stess innoculation.” Our Krav classes are led by coaches Trent Praytor and Joel Williams. Trent and Joel both hold black belts in various martial arts including Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Kook Sul Won and have decades of martial arts experience. We are part of the Global Martial Arts University training family and are students of Dustin Koppel, 3rd degree black belt in Krav Maga, BJJ brown belt and owner of National Martial Arts in Oakridge, TN.

Functional Fitness

Our Krav Maga classes are a mixture of exercise, high intensity elements and martial arts/self defense movements. We do pad work, punching, kicking, knees etc., as well as some grappling work on the ground. Krav is not only a great total body workout, it is one of the best self defense systems around. Students learn no nonsense and simple punches, kicks, knees, weapons defense, ground work and more. The goal of Krav is not to win a tournament, but to survive a violent attack and go home to their families.
